Pedalier

Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data Pedalier (the iPhone and iPad app, the my.pedalier.app web app and this website) processes, what it is used for, who it is shared with and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible

Doole Heath, S.L. is the data controller. For any privacy matter, write to jherms@doolehealth.com.

2. What data we process

What you give us when you create an account

Email address, name and password. The password is stored as an irreversible hash; nobody, including us, can read it.

Your training profile

FTP, weight, maximum heart rate and threshold heart rate (whichever you choose to enter) and your app settings. They are used to calculate zones, TSS and workout intensity.

What you generate when you train

Activities (date, duration, distance, power, cadence, heart rate, and FIT files with second-by-second detail), workouts you create or import, and routes (GPX) you upload.

Health data, if you turn it on

If you grant permission in the app, we read your sleep, heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate from Apple Health to help you decide when to train hard. Pedalier does not write to Apple Health. This is health data: it is processed only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by removing the permission in iOS Settings or deleting that data.

Meals, if you use that feature

What you log (foods, calories, macronutrients) and any note you write. If you photograph a plate to estimate its calories, the photo is sent to an AI service to analyse it and is not stored: only the result you confirm is kept.

Strava, if you link it

If you link your Strava account we receive your athlete ID and name, and your activities (with their power, heart rate, cadence and speed data) to show them in Pedalier. We ask for read-only access. The access keys Strava gives us are stored encrypted.

Technical data

IP address, date, time and request type in server logs, for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. On your phone, the app connects over Bluetooth to your trainer, heart rate monitor or gear controller; that link is local and we do not send anyone the list of nearby devices.

We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics tools.

3. What we use it for and the legal basis

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we make no automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

4. Who we share it with

Only with providers that process data on our behalf to deliver the service:

Apple Health data is never used for advertising or sold to data brokers. If a provider is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on GDPR safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). We may also disclose data to authorities when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as you have the account. If you delete it, your profile, activities, workouts, routes, meals, health data and the Strava link are deleted. Server technical logs are kept for the minimum time needed for security, and the provider's backups may retain data for a limited time until they are renewed.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to the processing of your data, and withdraw your consents. These are the quickest ways:

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to your local authority.

7. Security

Communications are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed and Strava access keys are stored encrypted. AI services receive only what is strictly needed for each feature. No system is infallible; if a breach affected you, we would tell you as the law requires.

8. Children

Pedalier is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change it in a meaningful way, we will say so in the app or the web app. The date above is that of the latest version.
